You’ve already begun the work by being here.
No matter what has happened, each and every one of us has the ability and power to heal.
Kendra’s personal experiences inform their clinical work and drive their passion for working with marginalized and alternative communities. They hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from SFSU. Prior to private practice, Kendra worked serving the unhoused population in New York City and San Francisco for 8 years.
They utilize a trauma-informed and strength-based holistic approach because they strongly believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all practice. Kendra draws from a variety of therapies, including, but not limited to, CBT, parts work, EMDR, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and art therapy, while also recognizing and adapting to each individual's uniqueness.
Therapy provides a sanctuary for us to delve into our most vulnerable aspects. This process of self-exploration is a powerful tool for understanding our past, defining our present, and shaping our future. The journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance can lead to profound positive changes.
The unwavering belief in an individual’s innate capacity to heal and thrive is at the core of Kendr’as practice. They are dedicated to fostering a safe and non-judgmental environment where one can gain a deeper understanding of oneself and overcome the barriers that may be hindering the journey to a more fulfilling and rewarding life.
